Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili, cultural officials, publishers, and book enthusiasts all attended the occasion, according to Mehr.

Over 2,500 Iranian publishers and 60 foreign publishers are participating in this edition of the book fair, which is being held in both physical and virtual versions, allowing each publisher to select their chosen method of participation based on the fair's regulations.

Physical book sales accept publications from 2020 onwards, whereas virtual sales accept works released after 2014.

This edition of the book expo features Yemen as a special guest. Originally, India was chosen as the special guest of the book fair, but due to limitations on Indian nationals going to Iran, the organizers decided to substitute India with Yemen.

The TIBF, Iran's biggest book trade fair, has become a landmark, historic book fair in West Asia after 34 editions in a row. Millions of people visit the fair each year, including thousands of university students, academics, and their families.

The cultural festival is currently considered the most important cultural event in Iran. The landmark event attracts an average of 2,500 local and 600 foreign publishers. Foreign publishers primarily supply materials in English or Arabic, while volumes in French, German, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese are also accessible.
